I think I'm on to something!
Yesterday, Russ and I went out to our Bear's Den cabin in the woods.
We are expecting a young, adventurous couple this weekend
who are incorporating a night's stay with their dogsled ride.
They will stay at the Bear's Den.
In an effort to make sure they are completely comfortable
(as comfortable as one can get in the winter, in a rustic cabin),
we decided to bring the kitties along for mouse patrol for the day,
to make sure we are "rodent free".
So, Mama Kitty (Naomi)
and Baby Kitty (Ruth)
went for a sled ride.
(Complete with litter box.)

They seemed to enjoy the walk, as we headed down the snowy road to our "back 40".
A change of venue is good for everyone now and then.
And,
at the end of the day,
upon returning home,
you can see the excitement they created.
Hmmm...rent-a-kitty.
A day of mouse patrol.
What would a person charge for that service, I wonder?
Until tomorrow, dear friends. God willing.

Playing some catch up here - gone a few days from blogging and I see I missed several of your absolutely delightful posts....so rather than try to go back and leave separate comments, I'll do one "group" comment here. First and foremost, I hope you and Russ had a wonderful Christmas filled with joys and blessings and treasured moments. Your Christmas wish post was beautiful - the photo of the sheep is a perfect homage. And that new ride of yours looks amazing! Woo Hoo!!! Quite a talented fellow you have there. (Not to mention his talent with spray paint....or whatever he did the snowbanks up in the other year...) And rent-a-kitty - hmmmm...you might be on to something there. Actually, whenever I had to be gone overnight for work, I often wished they had rent-a-kitties for sleeping. I never sleep as well without a kitty's weight and warmth on my bed.... ;o) Wishing you a blessing-filled week.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
Boy! You sure do have understanding cats! I don't think mine would put up with that! loL!
Thank you Robin ~ for all the "catch up" comments. I appreciate them more than you know. Rent-a-Kitty for overnight...now there's another concept! LOL P.A.F. ~ yes, our kitties are understanding. One cabin or another, their goal is being on the prowl...they are good mousers. :)
