Farewell to Facebook...forever

Yep, it's time.
I'm going back to old-school.

Sure, I'll miss my Facebook birthdays.

And I'll miss all of my *friends* that I have met over the years.
{I hope you follow me here...}

But, bottom line, we serve an awesome God.
And if God wants a person in my life, it will happen,
without the assistance of Social Media.
This I know.

After writing about it over the years...
Here...and here...and well, you get my drift.
It's time.

To every thing there is a season...  See Ecclesiastes 3...HERE.

So my world just got a little smaller.  But the quiet beauty remains.

But it's all good.

So here I'll be, Lord willing.

Abiding...

And there's no looking back.

Like the song we sung yesterday (me with teary blurry eyes due to emotion)
during worship at my small country Mennonite church ~

Wherever He may guide me, no want shall turn me back.
My Shepherd is beside me, and nothing can I lack.
His wisdom ever waketh, His sight is never dim.
He knows the way He taketh, and I will walk with Him.
Taken from the Church Hymnal, Hymn 384 "In Heavenly Love Abiding" 2nd verse.

Until tomorrow, Lord willing...hope to see you then.

Perfect Timing

We are welcoming Traveler back into the fold again, after being gone 3+ years.

It appears his mission in life is to be best friends to young boys who love to ride.

So suffice to say, we are excited about him rejoining our herd.

Russ enjoys a ride back in 2007, testing him among mares, post-gelding procedure.

Traveler's timing to return is perfect,
as you will also be seeing Jordan hanging around more too.

We love having him visit, and enjoy his boyish ways.

And have grown fond of his heart-warming smile.

He enjoys his time with Russ, learning how to navigate the waters of life.

And learning the skills to slow down,
to hear the tiniest drip from the paddle...
and see the world come alive before him, as an extraordinary young man.

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3

Lord, we thank you for your perfect timing...always.

Until tomorrow, God willing.
