One Day Closer to Jesus

I guess everyone's life has a rhythm.
Not just a circadian rhythm,
but a sense of peaks and valleys.

There's times I can turn away and ignore the world around me.
And then, other times, it is more difficult.
An uphill climb.

Even without TV, the world gets in, making life a struggle.

"Do not love the world or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions,
is not from the Father
but is from the world.
And the world is passing away along with its desires,
but whoever does the will of God abides forever".
1 John 2:15-17

This week seemed to be no different.

News of the world, some purely evil, bombarding you like snow on a moist winter day.

That's when you have to remind yourself...

We are one day closer to Jesus.

And who better to remind us, than Anne Graham Lotz.
Please take a moment and listen.  You won't regret it.

You'll need to turn down the soothing music to your right, to hear the sweet "Graham" sound.

And, quite honestly, if you only have time to listen to one...
please listen to Part 2.

As I was traveling to visit the Amish today,
with my trusty dog Zip...

I began singing:

One day closer to Jesus
(saying it like Anne Graham Lotz)  JEEEsus...
One day closer to Jesus
One day closer to Jesus
And I'll fly, fly away.

I have no idea where this came from,
except to say it felt like God *winked* at me when I was done harmonizing.

P.S.  I can't carry a tune, but I did today...I sang like an angel.

Until tomorrow dear friends, God willing.
