Tick Tock

Daylight Saving Time

Time to change your clocks...

But not for us...here at Russ-Stick Acres.

For several years, we have opted out of playing the game.

Seems silly, actually.

Changing clocks back and forth, back and forth.

How about you?

Anyone else out there...
that doesn't partake in the ritual?

It's actually easier than you think.

You may wish to try it!

Until tomorrow.  God willing.

Actually, they could stay on daylight savings time all year for all I care. Those who work outdoors, though, set their day by the the sun, the heat or the cold, not the clock.

I've always despised the time change. And honestly , with hubby retired, what difference does it make anyways. But, we do it...because I'd show up late for appointments. Sigh. But I have to say--I never thought of it when it comes to animals, etc. That WOULD be upsetting for them......

Clock changing never made sense to us when we lived in the US but, here on our island, there is no time change. Why don't they just leave time to work the way God created it? Mankind always think they know better than God how things should work. And, it messes things up. I wonder what would happen if enough people made a voice about it.

Thank you for all the great comments. I agree, "man" always thinks they can change things for the better. Daylight saving time was created to save money...and it has done the opposite. But that isn't why we opt out. It started when we were milking (goats) twice a day. We felt it was easier NOT to change the clocks. And it is...you have to try it to understand. :) Terri ~ me? A rebel...hehe...:)

I detest the change. But, regardless of what the clock says, I am up at daybreak and feeding shortly after. In the evening, I am feeding as the sun approaches the horizon. I, like you, run by the animals' clocks - not my man-made clocks.

THANKS for the reminder of the time change. I'm going to have to go back and read your post about your choice. I'm afraid that I am a slave to the clock--I do like that it's going to be light in the morning, but I don't like the darkness when I come home at night...

I think it's great that you have opted out of the time change. Here in Canada, our prairie province of Saskatchewan, also opts out!
