Welcome Beautiful October

It's hard to believe it's here already.

October.

Next month brings the Thanksgiving holiday.

But there's no reason to look ahead.

For these days are keeping us busy enough.

Russ has been whittling again...

Benches.

Saddle racks.

Little wood-wheeled wonders.  And more...

And me?

I've been trying to figure out the architect of life.

My heavenly father.
And follow the path I'm meant to follow.

These warm fall days have cooperated in basking in all His glory.

And some decisions have been made.

I'm not going into solitude...I'll still be here...posting a blog about our life.

However, I'm backing out of other social media.
(Facebook...)

I know, I know...I've talked about going down this road before.

But now, I truly feel it is what I need to do.

So, I'm following the nudge of the Holy Spirit, and complying.

2 Timothy 3:2

I'm not saying it's the right choice for everyone, but I believe it is for me.

Perhaps it's short lived.  Perhaps not.

But right now, my eyes need to be on scripture.

For I'm preparing for a test...

A test of being able to share testimony at a moment's notice.

And to do this, I must know the word inside and out.

Wish me luck.  I'll keep you posted.

Until tomorrow dear friends, God willing.

Sherry I am most proud of you! I welcome the fact that you will not disappear. I agree on FB it is like a machine, there are so many "machines" that are designed to derail us from what is true.

I only pray that I too have the faith, the ability to let it go.

God bless you and Russ on your adventure in Christ. I am asking you include us in your prayers as God has presented an opportunity to move our lives onto The Log House on Ash Creek, 42 acres, we just need prayers to continue to make this happen.

Take care and be in touch!

I never have and don't plan on getting into Facebook. People are always shocked to hear that I don't. I am glad you will stay posted on here - I need to "bury" myself in scripture too - 2 Tim. 3-16. Blessings from Wisconsin

Another wonderful post, and more striking pictures and words. I have just had proof in my life that prayers can be answered... and am giving prayers of thanks because of it.

Russ is very talented. I especially like the bench! I once was on Facebook for a very short while and realized it wasn't for me. May the Lord lead you on, today.

Russ does beautiful work!

Before I could even get to reaing the posts, Sherry, I had to read your little tweets~ they are always so fun:)) If your hen has hatched her eggs, ours should soon, too, as they went broody at the same time.

What a thought~ she was committed to just sitting there and waiting faithfully, and now she has the "reward" of her little chickies.

Good for you to give up Facebook, there are so many distractions {guilty here of being distracted, too} that keep us from seeking God and doing His work.

And about that test,
Matthew 10:19b says, " . . . at that time you will be given the words to say."

Beautiful pictures! Especially love the header!

Thank you everyone, for your heartfelt comments and kudos. Yes, it's a tough balance with social media, especially when you are self-employed and count on it for advertising at times. But we need to reclaim our time...for it is short. And keep our eye on the prize...:~)
