Salt and Light

Who will you reach out to today?

There's so many folks who would love to feel your kind touch on their lives.

Even if you only touch one life...

That's enough.

You hold that power in your hand.

In your heart.

Don't let time slip away before you make your move.

For the Bridegroom cometh...and until that glorious day, we are the salt and the light.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:13-16

Until tomorrow, God willing.

Sherry~ Just had to try to say Thank You (as if the words were enough to express my thanks) for your comment this morning. God has put you in my life at this time and is using you more than you know to encourage me and affirm His ways and His good works. I am convinced all the more that this battle is worth the fight when I see God move in such mighty ways, especially through my feeble attempts at being faithful to what His word says. You could not imagine how discouraged I was this morning until I read what God was doing in your life through our brokenness, all for His glory. You have encouraged me to continue to fight the good fight yet another day, Lord willing, unless He calls me home first~ imagine that! Heaven with my Savior!

Terri ~ Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad we can "use each other" at this time in both of our walks. I have thought long and hard about your "The Way it Was" comment: "The first thing we had to do was have Christians surrounding us...". The mighty and powerful Lord is telling me to do the same at this time in my life. And how fortunate that so many Sisters in Christ are blogging about their lives. Keep taking that step, daily. The raw, seething pain will lessen. Trust me. Trust Him. As I know you do.
