Count It All Joy

Some days are like that...

You wonder if it's safe to peek your head out into the world.

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds."
James 1:2

I hope you have a good day, walking with Jesus.

As the world attempts to conform me,
I plan to keep my eye on the prize...salvation.

And count it all joy...

What cute photos. I would say that the Mr. squirrel is in quite a bind.

I loop my arm through Jesus's arm every morning when I get up..who knows what kind of trouble I'd get into without His hold on me.

Love your posts!

Thank you Sherri. Mr. (Red) Squirrel made a run for it and safely scurried up a tree. I love your imagery of looping arms with Jesus. I'm worthless without him in my life ~ daily/hourly, sometimes by the minute.

Hi Mrs. Sutherby,

I love the pic of the squirrel peaking his head out of the stump. He seems to be in quite a bit of trouble!

The scripture you used was very encouraging for me. The trying of our faith truly produces perseverance (James 1:3).

God Bless,
Josh

Dear Sherry,

Thank you so much for the lovely comment that you left on my blog this morning. God is so amazing...I was helping out one of our elderly neighbors this morning and Josh happened to tell me that you had left another encouraging comment on his blog. I was thinking to myself..."I'm going to stop by her blog and let her know what a joy she has been to Josh..."
Of course, it was no surprise to find your comment in my e-mail...God does things like that all the time around here! My husband and I are truly grateful that you take the time to read Josh's blog and make such lovely comments. He has made some wonderful, yet difficult, choices in his life...and has not always found that people think he has made the wisest ones. We are truly happy with all our sons' choices...all three so much the same...yet so entirely different!

On another note, we love your blog! Your "Russ-Stick Acres" in many ways feels like home to us. Your quest to live a simpler life...relying totally on the Lord...has been our goal around here for a long time.

Hope you and your husband are having a very blessed day,
Laura

Oh my gosh how cute. The Bug would have chased him right back down in his tree hole.

Thank you for all the kind words and comments. It means a lot ~ truly. Brenda ~ our Zip is like your Bug, and would have loved to have the final say, but we told her to back off, and let Mr. Squirrel retreat to be safe for another day. ~:) Mel ~ hope you return to our Blog again. Laura ~ Thank you. I feel the same when visiting your Blog, and also Josh's. How wonderful to have such awesome places to visit on the Internet. ~:)
