The Day is Done

Our nightly walk closes out our day.

And fills us with joy.

And peace that warms our soul.

The day is done, and the darkness
Falls from the wings of Night,
As a feather is wafted downward
From an eagle in his flight.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I do so like evening walks, too. It's my kind of "nightcap".

So glad you took your camera!

We've spontaneously added a walk to our evenings after the kids are in bed too. Not long, not far, but enough to bring that peaceful, easy feeling...

Just took a little walk through our woods a short time ago. Now that it is warmer it will become a daily habit again. We also live in Michigan.

I also love just being outside at the end of the day--The peace of the evening is so calming after a busy day, isn't it?

I hope your week is ending on a good note!! :-)

Thank you everyone. Yes, our nightly walks are from early spring to late fall. Then we hop on the dogsled...~:) The walks confirm we are on the "right track" with all we do on our 40, and with Him.
